August 17, 2017, Asheville, NC – Tickets are on sale for A Red Carpet Event to be held on Thursday, September 14, 2017, from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at the Fine Arts Theatre in Asheville, NC. All proceeds from the event will go toward providing life skills and enrichment programs that create brighter futures for Asheville teenagers.
The Joseph Initiative is a local non-profit that has been providing filmmaking classes to teens in our community. On September 14th, the organization is holding a celebration of their work. Premiered during the evening will be a documentary about a local musician, John Trufant, the teens worked on with Brother Blue Studios. Guests will also experience short films created by Asheville-area talent, and will learn about how The Joseph Initiative’s programs are positively impacting the lives of teens in our community.
Executive Director, Karen Cowan, says, “We are proud to be working with members of our local community to develop programs that allow our youth to explore their interests. It is our hope that these programs will enhance their lives and inspire them to fulfill their dreams.”
