August 14, 2017, Asheville, NC – The Joseph Initiative, a local non-profit organization, is asking local business owners to donate items for a Silent Auction to be held in conjunction with their Red Carpet fundraising event this September 14th.
The Red Carpet fundraiser will be held on September 14, 2017, from 6:00 to 8:00pm, at the Fine Arts Theatre in Asheville. The main feature of the evening will be a film created by the teens who participated in the organization’s filmmaking class. During the event, attendees will have the opportunity to see how The Joseph Initiative is working to provide life skills and enrichment programs that create brighter futures for Asheville-area teenagers.
According to the organization’s Executive Director, Karen Cowan, “We are planning a very special evening for our teens and are inviting the community to join us in acknowledging their accomplishments.”
All proceeds from the event, including those from the Silent Auction, will go towards purchasing additional filmmaking equipment needed for future classes.
Cowan adds, “We are proud to be working with members of our local community to develop programs that allow our youth to explore their interests. It is our hope that these programs will enhance their lives and inspire them to fulfill their dreams.”
