Calling all high school Juniors! Our current ex officio board member is going to be graduating from high school, so we are looking to place someone in her position to carry on the role of giving our youth a voice in creating programming for teenagers.
What is an ex officio board member?
Ex officio board members are not necessarily elected or appointed, rather they agree to serve in a position because the organization needs their expertise or influence in that position. In this case, we are looking for a high school student to attend meetings and provide input on program development as it relates to teenagers in our community.
What are the details of the position?
- You must be entering your Junior year in the Fall of the school year, and be able to serve a two-year term as an ex officio board member.
- You must be able to attend monthly board meetings via web/phone and in-person. Meetings are held on the third Tuesday of every month from 5:30pm to 6:45pm. In-person meetings will be held at The Joseph Initiative Offices at 3400 Sweeten Creek Road, Suite C in Arden, NC.
- You must be able to agree to the items outlined in the following volunteer position description: The-Joseph-Initiative-Youth-Board-Member-Application Teen Board Member Description
